Diary study on personality and self-management

The understanding of work has changed rapidly in the last decade. Drivers such as digitalisation demand new working structures that are constantly evolving and adapting. Collaboration and remote work are just two examples that have established themselves as ways of working in a very short space of time. In addition to changes in organizations, employees' attitudes, motivation and lifestyles towards work have also changed. The question of meaning is increasingly coming to the fore. The values of an organization should correspond with one's own values. As a result of these changes, the topic of personality is becoming increasingly important in the modern working world. Successfully dealing with new work structures and working conditions also requires a high degree of self-management. Motivated by the current and dynamic world of work, we at the Chair of Work, Organizational and Business Psychology are investigating these phenomena of the modern working world as part of a five-day diary study.

  • Topic of the study: Personality and self-management
  • Study design: Diary study
  • Duration: Preliminary survey (approx. 50 to 60 minutes), followed by participation in two short cognitive tests
  • Daily survey (Monday-Friday) with 3 short questionnaires (approx. 5 to 10 minutes) per day
  • Period of the survey: From 7 November 2022

Each participant will receive an expense allowance of €35 for completing the questionnaires in full.

Our research results will then be published in relevant specialist journals. This is done in anonymised form. It is not possible to draw any conclusions about your person.
