Modern working environments

In the modern working world, employees and managers are confronted with constantly changing demands. They often have to resist distractions and temptations and overcome internal resistance. Motivation and resources, such as the ability to exercise self-control and successfully self-regulate, are becoming increasingly relevant in the dynamic and constantly changing world of work. In addition, increased availability and flexible forms of work can lead to a blurring of work and private life. These, as well as the increased use of technology and the associated connectivity, have an impact on employees' performance levels and well-being. The AOW Chair addresses these topics in this study and examines, among other things, the effects of the blurring of boundaries and digitalisation on stress levels and well-being. Flexible forms of work (e.g. working from home) and incentivisation measures (e.g. flexible remuneration) are also taken into account.
- Topic of the study: Motivation and regulation in modern working environments
- Study design: Diary study
- Processing time: Pre-survey (approx. 30 min), then 4 short questionnaires (approx. 3-5 min) on each of 10 working days
- Survey period: From now on
At the end of the study, each participant has the opportunity to receive individual feedback on the topics of psychological well-being, stressors in the workplace and personal resources.
Our research results will then be published in relevant specialist journals. This is done in anonymised form. It is not possible to draw any conclusions about you personally.
