Motivation and well-being of new employees at the university of Wuppertal

In a longitudinal study, we are currently surveying new BUW employees during their induction period. Among other things, the role of leadership, the perception of the new working conditions and the effect of different resources will be analysed in relation to the induction period. The focus is on the experience, behaviour and motivation of new employees during the first twelve months. The survey contains a total of seven questionnaires within this period and thus covers the entire induction period longitudinally.

The research project is also being carried out with the express support and approval of the university management and the BUW staff councils. The results will be used to improve entry processes at our university in the future. The survey is aimed at people who have been in their new job for a maximum of 6 weeks.

Like all our surveys, this survey is completely anonymous and voluntary. It is not possible to draw conclusions about individuals at any time.

Participants will receive personalised feedback on selected topics on request and also have the opportunity to take part in a prize draw for 10 gift vouchers .
