Fit4Klima
Fit4Klima: Development of efficient climate-friendly lifestyles in the context of modern health promotion and CO2 reduction progress
The focus of the "Fit4Klima" pilot project is on the quantifiable reduction of CO2 emissions through healthy and climate-friendly lifestyles. The aim is to establish a direct link between individual lifestyles and climate protection through (sufficiency) measures. The transdisciplinary cooperation with a statutory health insurance company and Stadtsparkasse Wuppertal, as well as the University of Wuppertal, enables a broad target group of customers, employees and students to be reached. In real-life experiments, the project target groups are motivated to adopt a more climate-friendly lifestyle with the help of an app, transformative educational material and other measures. Public relations work and project events are used to transfer the project results and enable further scaling of the project.

Aims of the project
- Presentation of connections between lifestyles and CO₂ reduction
- Identification of motivators and barriers to healthy and climate-friendly behaviour
- Identification of the potential for CO₂ reduction
- Information and awareness-raising
- Piloting the Fit4Klima app
- Transfer and social communication of the results
